Senior Software Engineer | WealthTech Data Orchestration | NYC
Primis is partnered with a wealthtech startup building the first data orchestration platform for financial advisors. They sync client data across an advisor's entire tech stack, solving a painful, expensive problem that touches an $80T market. Backed by strong institutional investors, with real momentum and a fast-growing early team.
They're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead development of their early product, with heavy influence over architecture and the product roadmap.
What you'll work on:
Lead development on business-critical features: self-service onboarding, data blending and deconfliction, and digital account opening
Play a large role in shaping technical vision and product roadmap as an early employee
Help build and maintain a strong, enjoyable developer experience
Ensure the product runs smoothly in production, using observability and monitoring tools to triage and resolve issues
Help hire and mentor engineers as the team grows
What we're looking for:
7+ years of engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping high-quality, high-complexity systems at scale
Experience building high-quality, delightful user-facing web applications
Experience working closely with a cross-functional product team
Excited to primarily be an individual contributor with a high degree of ownership
Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with real ambiguity and agency
Impact-driven, with a bias towards action and ownership
Customer-centric approach and a fast working pace
Bonus points for:
Experience building B2B software and/or fintech software
Experience at seed or early-stage startups (for example, being a first-3 engineer at a company)
Experience building and maintaining open source software
Previously started a company or launched personal projects
Experience with AI prompting, models, and tools, both in your own work and helping level up a team
Tech stack: React, Node, Fastify, MUI, React Query, Vite, Storybook, Playwright
