Public Safety Technology Deployment Engineer | $90K–$100K | Travel Required
Our client is a leading provider of public safety technology, working directly with law enforcement and government agencies to deploy body-worn cameras, in-car video, LPR/surveillance systems, and mission-critical networking infrastructure.
They're hiring a Deployment Engineer to be the technical backbone of their customer lifecycle, from pre-sales support through hands-on field implementation.
What you'll be doing
- Deploying, configuring and supporting body-worn cameras, in-car video, LPR/surveillance cameras and vehicle-mounted tech
- Configuring networking kit (routers, switches, VPNs, wireless, LTE modems) in the field
- Running onsite installs, commissioning, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Supporting sales teams with technical discovery, demos and solution design
- Creating training materials and as-built documentation
- Acting as primary technical escalation point during deployments
- 3+ years in technology deployment, systems implementation, networking or technical support
- Solid TCP/IP networking fundamentals (routers, switches, VPNs, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with mobile/vehicle-based tech deployments a big plus
- Public safety, government or mission-critical environment experience preferred
- Comfortable with 50-70% travel
- Must be able to pass background checks and obtain CJIS clearance
- $90,000-$100,000 base
- Direct exposure to public safety and government technology deployments
- Training provided at HQ - Victor, NY
