Account Executive - Managed Services
Syracuse & Buffalo Region
Our client is growing and looking for a driven Account Executive - Managed Services to help expand their footprint across the Syracuse and Buffalo markets. This is a great opportunity for a consultative sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering business needs, and delivering IT and security solutions that genuinely make an impact for small and mid-sized businesses.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for selling a comprehensive portfolio of Managed IT and Managed Security services, owning the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to close. You’ll work closely with internal teams to align customer challenges with the right solutions, while building long-term partnerships based on trust and value.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Represent and clearly communicate the client’s Managed Services value proposition to prospects, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, qualify, and convert leads into sales opportunities through proactive prospecting and follow-up.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, using a structured and effective sales process.
  • Deliver compelling presentations both in person and virtually.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams to drive deals to close.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using CRM tools (NetSuite or similar).
  • Manage and grow both new and existing accounts, working closely with the Network Operations Center on refreshes and ongoing projects.
  • Keep sales leadership informed on pipeline activity, opportunities, and progress against targets.
  • Manage third-party strategic relationships that support the overall sales strategy.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of proven sales experience, ideally selling hardware, software, or IT solutions (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior IT or managed services sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to guide customers toward the right solution.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship builder with a customer-first mindset.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.
