The Role
We’re looking for a Client-facing Associate Director to lead and shape the delivery of Databricks and modern data platform solutions across complex client environments. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on technical experience with strong client leadership, and who enjoys operating at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and commercial influence.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as a senior technical authority across Databricks engagements, providing assurance on solution design, performance, security, and governance
Working directly with clients to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, high-quality data platform solutions
Supporting presales and solution shaping, including architecture design, scoping, and risk definition
Providing delivery oversight and escalation support on complex or high-value programmes
Mentoring engineers and architects, setting technical standards and best practices
Helping build reusable assets, accelerators, and frameworks to scale delivery capability
Experience and Attributes
Strong technical background in data engineering and modern data platforms (Databricks experience preferred)
Experience designing or leading production-grade data platform solutions
Comfortable engaging with clients, senior stakeholders, and delivery teams
Able to explain complex technical concepts in clear business terms
Experience in consulting, professional services, or client-facing enterprise environments
Confident operating across architecture, delivery assurance, and commercial discussions
You do not need to be hands-on day-to-day, but you must have enough technical depth to challenge designs and guide teams.
