The Business Product Owner will lead the strategic direction, market positioning, and commercial success of an employee engagement suite. This leadership role involves overseeing product development and go-to-market execution during a critical growth phase. The position focuses on accelerating the development, launch, and adoption of tools like Goals, Rewards, Communication, Communities, and others aimed at enhancing employee belonging, motivation, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop a comprehensive product strategy for the suite.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define and prioritize the roadmap.
- Drive development of remaining components beyond the current Employee Voice feature.
- Translate market needs into product requirements while balancing technical feasibility and user experience.
- Commercial Growth & Go-to-Market:
- Set ambitious sales targets for the suite.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on go-to-market strategies.
- Position the product effectively against competitors.
- Develop pricing strategies to optimize value delivery and adoption goals.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between Product teams and commercial stakeholders.
- Build relationships with customers to gather feedback and improve the product.
- Align cross-departmental messaging and delivery strategies.
- Market Intelligence:
- Conduct competitive analysis and track trends in employee engagement.
- Gather customer feedback to inform product decisions.
- Monitor metrics like turnover rates and engagement scores to validate impact.
Experience & Skills:
- Technical & Business Acumen:
- 5+ years of product ownership or management experience in SaaS or HR technology.
- Proven success in launching products and driving adoption.
- Strong understanding of workforce management challenges in relevant industries.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and lead small teams effectively.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in HR tech or employee engagement platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations affecting workforce management.
