The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Data Modelling Consultant to play a key role in the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data models within large-scale transformation programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading financial organisations, translating complex business requirements into data structures that drive clarity, governance, and scalable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis to define data requirements and support enterprise metadata initiatives
  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for complex transformation and migration programmes
  • Identify key data entities, relationships, and source-to-target mappings across systems
  • Support data governance through model standardisation, documentation, and governance forums
  • Use modelling tools (e.g. Sparx, Erwin, PowerDesigner) to build, maintain, and curate enterprise data models

What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrable experience in data modelling within financial services, especially across architecture or migration projects
  • Expertise across the full data modelling stack (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Familiarity with financial reference models such as FIBO, FIX, or fpML
  • Ability to communicate data structures clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (RDBMS), JSON/XML schemas, UML, and Agile delivery methodologies

Desirable Skills
  • Practical experience with data modelling tools such as Sparx, Erwin, Visual Paradigm, or PowerDesigner
  • Exposure to ontology development and semantic web technologies (e.g. RDF, OWL, TTL)
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python to support data model validation or prototyping
  • Understanding of enterprise metadata strategies and data governance frameworks
  • Experience supporting regulatory or compliance-led data transformation initiatives
