The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join a fast-growing data and analytics team focused on delivering advanced machine learning and AI solutions for clients in complex, regulated industries. This role is ideal for someone passionate about using data science to drive real-world impact while mentoring teams and shaping strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycles for data science solutions—from proof-of-concept to deployment in production environments
  • Build and prototype machine learning models to solve complex business problems using modern statistical and ML methods
  • Work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Support and mentor data science teams, helping shape technical direction and build internal capability
  • Act as an expert advisor on model selection, performance tuning, and deployment strategy

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying data science solutions using Python and key ML libraries
  • Financial Services and Consulting
  • Solid background in applied machine learning, including feature engineering, model tuning, and data pipeline design
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and tools like Spark, Hive, or Redshift
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of guiding technical teams
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex data concepts to business and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills
  • Experience participating in data science competitions (e.g. Kaggle)
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices, including CI/CD and model monitoring
  • Proficiency in advanced NLP frameworks such as spaCy, Transformers, or Hugging Face
  • MSc or PhD in a quantitative or computational field
  • Background working within financial services or other regulated sectors
