Principal and Manager of Performance Engineering

We are hiring for two senior roles within Performance Engineering - a Principal Performance Engineer and a Manager of Performance Engineering. Both roles are hands on, high impact positions focused on building and evolving the performance testing capability within a modern, cloud driven engineering environment.

You will be joining a fast moving tech company with a hybrid on premise and multi cloud stack, where performance, scalability and resilience are treated as first class priorities. Whether you are deeply technical and want to stay in the detail, or you are ready to lead strategy, grow a team and influence direction at scale, we want to hear from you.

You will work alongside engineers, DevOps and architecture teams to define performance strategy, build dedicated test environments, model production traffic, and identify performance risks early across the stack. This is about more than just running load tests – it is about embedding performance engineering into how software is built and delivered.

Tech environment

• JMeter, BlazeMeter, K6, Kibana, Cloudflare
• Performance testing across APIs, web applications and databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience building replica production performance environments
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation and Bicep
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD workflows
• Performance SLAs, load modelling, stress testing and soak testing
