The Role
Our client is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to play a critical role in driving partner success and platform adoption. This leader will own the strategy and execution for technical partner onboarding, API integrations, and solutions enablement, while scaling a high-performing Solutions Engineering team.
This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, ensuring partners can successfully integrate, launch, and grow on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers
Define and execute the strategic vision for the Solutions Engineering function
Partner with Sales and Growth teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
Establish best practices, playbooks, and performance metrics to measure team effectiveness
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency for both internal teams and partners
Define and document repeatable workflows to support operational scalability and quality
Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, and operations to drive cohesive partner strategies
Support partners integrating APIs by providing technical guidance, architectural input, and project coordination
Build strong partner relationships while maintaining alignment with internal priorities and standards
Use technical troubleshooting and debugging skills to surface partner pain points and inform product improvements
Experience and Attributes
5+ years of experience leading and scaling technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or partner engineering teams
3+ years of hands-on software development experience, particularly with external API implementations
Proficiency in full-stack or backend development and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP)
Experience with event-driven architectures and tools such as Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, or similar
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple partner engagements and priorities simultaneously
Proven problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Customer-centric mindset with a focus on partner success
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
