Network Cloud Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, Charleston or Charlotte (hybrid working model, with travel to clients)
Are you passionate about building secure, scalable cloud environments and solving complex networking challenges? We’re looking for a Network Cloud Engineer who thrives on designing and implementing modern cloud and hybrid infrastructure that connects on-premises environments seamlessly with the cloud.
In this role, you’ll work closely with customers to architect, deploy, and optimize cloud. You’ll also play a key role in knowledge sharing, documentation, and supporting teams and clients with best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll combine architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting skills to deliver robust cloud and hybrid environments.
Design, configure, test, and deploy cloud and hybrid networking solutions
Build and manage Azure-based infrastructure, including VMs, VPNs, and identity services
Implement and manage Identity Management, MFA, and access control policies
Configure and support technologies such as Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
Troubleshoot networking issues, including routing, performance, and QoS
Provide expert guidance and mentorship to peers where needed
Support and resolve escalated issues from NOC Level 2 technicians
Deliver network assessments and consulting engagements for customers
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
Conduct on-site visits when required to troubleshoot or repair networking equipment
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute insights to improve solutions
Technologies You’ll Work With
You’ll work across a modern infrastructure stack including:
Microsoft Azure (VMs, VPNs, Entra ID, Intune)
Identity & security technologies (MFA, SSO, RBAC)
Networking technologies (VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, RDP, LDAP)
Firewall & network platforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco, SonicWall, and UniFi
Virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox
Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and networking
Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise networking and identity systems
Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of virtualization platforms and enterprise backup/anti-virus solutions
Some exposure to Linux server environments
Certifications that will stand out:
A+, Network+, Security+
AZ-104, AZ-700, MCSE
Checkpoint CCSA
Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNE, CCDA)
Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA required, PCNSE preferred)

Additional Details
