Job description

Job Title: Senor Accountant  

Industry: Consultancy
Type: 3-month contract

Day Rate: €250 - €350 per day  

Location: Utrecht/Hybrid (2 Days in the office)

 

The Role:

  • Analyzing complex accounting records and managing intricate transactions in Oracle Financial Cloud (such as accruals, loans, leases - IFRS 16, fixed assets, etc.), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
  • Overseeing various processes within the Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, and Fixed Asset cycles.
  • Managing and resolving exceptions across all accounting cycles.
  • Reviewing entries made by Junior Accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Providing support and training to Junior Accountants.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Shared Services (FISS) team and other members of the Sub-region Finance Team.
  • Coordinating with the Business Applications Shared Services (BASS).
  • Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger and subledgers, performing account reconciliations.
  • Monitoring cash collections for the Sub-region and escalating invoices that require management attention.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns.
  • Ensuring a timely and accurate month-end closing by following established processes and policies.
  • Preparing financial reports in HFM.
  • Participating in the audit process with both external and internal auditors.
  • Performing internal controls in a timely manner as part of responsibilities.

 

Key Skills Needed:

  • Must have a proven experience in accounting processes (Payables, Receivables, General Ledger, Cash Management, Fixed Asset) • must demonstrate strong skills on local GAAP
  • Able to demonstrate strong skills on IFRS accounting rules
  • Knowledgeable of Oracle ERP (strongly preferred) or another widely used ERP.
  • Must be able to communicate in English on financial matters verbally and in writing.
