Location: London HQ (hybrid: 2–3 days per week in office and/or client sites across London & Southeast)
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time (flexible working arrangements available)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director Cloud Solution Architect (Azure) to join a leading technology consultancy. This senior role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, and thought leadership, guiding internal teams and client engagements on complex Azure cloud initiatives.
You will work closely with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver innovative cloud solutions, while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape best practices across the organisation. You’ll also engage with technology partners to enhance credibility and influence in the Azure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership

Serve as the technical authority on Azure solution design and deployment.

Define and enforce best practices for secure, scalable, cost-effective cloud architectures.

Lead design reviews, technical assurance, and support internal IP development.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

Translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance for clients and partners.

Contribute to proposals, workshops, and pre-sales activities.

Represent the organisation at industry events and thought leadership platforms.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Keep up-to-date with Azure and cloud ecosystem advancements and apply them to solutions.

Ensure internal processes and assets reflect current best practices and innovations.
Team Development

Mentor engineers and consultants in Azure and cloud practices.

Support training initiatives and foster a culture of technical excellence.
Skills & Experience

Extensive experience with Azure services across PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.

Proven record designing and deploying modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).

Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, cloud security, observability, cost optimisation, and IaC (Terraform, CI/CD).

Experience with multiple full project delivery cycles across industries.

Consultancy experience and ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.

Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field is desirable.

Experience with AWS or GCP is advantageous but not essential.
