As we accelerate our go-to-market strategy with Anthropic and OpenAI—while complementing and amplifying our Databricks and Snowflake data platform capabilities—we are expanding our alliance leadership team with a commercially driven Partner Alliance Director.
The Role
This role is pivotal in scaling our AI commercial engine across the Anthropic and OpenAI ecosystems, aligning foundation model innovation with Databricks and Snowflake-led data strategies, deepening executive relationships, driving partner-sourced revenue, and leveraging hyperscaler funding (notably Azure OpenAI Service and AWS Bedrock) to reduce customer friction and accelerate global deal momentum.

Key Responsibilities
1. Anthropic & OpenAI Commercial Strategy with Data Platform Alignment
- Own the end-to-end alliance strategy across Anthropic and OpenAI, with accountability for revenue, pipeline, and commercial performance.
- Build and mature executive-level relationships across Anthropic, OpenAI, Databricks, and Snowflake partner, sales, engineering, and ecosystem teams.
- Shape and execute a global GTM plan that positions Anthropic and OpenAI as the AI execution layer on top of Databricks and Snowflake data platforms.
- Create scalable commercial motions that align AI use cases with governed enterprise data estates, accelerating co-sell velocity across platform partners and hyperscalers.
2. AI Applications, Agents, and Defensible IP
- Drive commercial strategy for AI-native applications, agents, and copilots built on Anthropic and OpenAI models, leveraging Databricks and Snowflake as the underlying data and feature platforms.
- Package, protect, and scale proprietary IP and accelerators that integrate foundation models with lakehouse and data cloud architectures.
- Define pricing, packaging, and ecosystem distribution strategies that maximise recurring revenue and platform stickiness.
3. Pipeline Creation, Acceleration and Funding
- Deliver repeatable pipeline through joint campaigns, executive workshops, industry events, and targeted ABM motions spanning AI and data platform use cases.
- Leverage hyperscaler and platform funding programmes (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Databricks, Snowflake, POCs, innovation funds, and co-sell incentives) to reduce deal friction and increase deal velocity.
- Govern funding utilisation, compliance, and ROI across all AI- and data-platform-aligned initiatives.
4. Field Enablement and Evangelism
- Enable sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams with clear narratives that articulate how Anthropic and OpenAI complement Databricks and Snowflake in enterprise AI architectures.
- Act as the internal champion for AI and data platform convergence, ensuring alignment across delivery, product, security, governance, and commercial teams.
- Represent the organisation at Anthropic, OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, and hyperscaler field events, partner councils, and strategic forums.
5. Joint Solution and Ecosystem Innovation
- Lead the creation of repeatable AI and data solutions that combine foundation models with governed, scalable data platforms.
- Build ecosystem-ready solution bundles spanning Databricks, Snowflake, and Anthropic/OpenAI, designed for global enterprise adoption.
- Ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for security, privacy, responsible AI, and IP protection.
- 5+ years in alliances, partnerships, or commercial GTM roles within AI, data, cloud, or software ecosystems.
- Proven success building pipelines through commercial partnerships and alliances globally.
- Strong understanding of hyperscaler and platform funding programmes across AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Commercially driven, quota-aware, and confident operating with revenue accountability.
- Exceptional relationship builder with the ability to influence partner field teams, platform leaders, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker capable of aligning AI innovation with enterprise data strategy and governance.
