As we accelerate our Snowflake GTM strategy—particularly around native application development and defensible IP—we are expanding our alliance leadership team with a commercially driven, Snowflake-focused Partner Alliance Director.

The Role
This role is pivotal in scaling our Snowflake commercial engine, deepening executive relationships, driving partner-sourced revenue, securing marketplace visibility, and leveraging hyperscaler funding (Microsoft & AWS) to reduce customer friction and accelerate deal momentum globally.

Key Responsibilities
​​​​​​1. Snowflake Commercial Strategy & Partner Growth

  • Own the end-to-end Snowflake alliance strategy, with clear accountability for revenue, pipeline, and commercial performance. Build and mature executive-level relationships across Snowflake sales, partner, professional services, solution architecture, marketplace, and industry teams.

  • Shape and execute a global GTM plan aligned to Snowflake’s FY priorities, industry plays, and marketplace incentives.

  • Build scalable commercial motions that unlock partner-sourced opportunities and accelerate co-sell velocity.


2. Native Application Development & Defensible IP

  • Drive commercial strategy for Snowflake Native Apps, from ideation to monetisation.

  • Package, protect, and scale proprietary IP and accelerators that differentiate us in the Snowflake ecosystem.

  • Define pricing, marketplace strategy, and product positioning to maximise recurring revenue and global adoption.

3. Pipeline Creation, Acceleration & Funding

  • Deliver repeatable, Snowflake-centric pipeline through joint campaigns, events, coselling, and targeted ABM motions.

  • Leverage Microsoft and AWS co-funding programmes (MDF, POCs, migration funds, MAP, AMM, etc.) to reduce deal friction, increase velocity, and drive competitiveness.

  • Govern funding utilisation, compliance, and ROI across all active Snowflake-related initiatives.


4. Field Enablement & Evangelism

  • Enable sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams with compelling Snowflake value propositions, playbooks, and competitive positioning.

  • Act as the internal champion for Snowflake strategy, ensuring alignment across delivery, product, and commercial teams.

  • Represent our organisation in Snowflake field events, partner councils, and strategic planning forums.

5. Joint Solution & Marketplace Innovation

  • Lead the creation of repeatable Snowflake solutions and industry offerings tied to measurable business outcomes.

  • Build marketplace-ready solution bundles and commercial listings that drive scalable, global adoption.

  • Ensure all solutions meet technical, legal, and IP protection standards.

Experience and Attributes

  • 5+ years in alliances, partnerships, or commercial GTM roles within cloud, data, or software ecosystems.

  • Proven success growing commercial pipelines with organisations ,like Snowflake, leveraging the hyperscalers (AWS, Azure) for commercial advantage.

  • Experience commercialising IP, packaged solutions, or marketplace offerings.

  • Strong understanding of funding programmes across AWS, MSFT etc

  • Commercially driven, quota-aware, and confident operating with revenue accountability.

  • Excellent relationship builder with the ability to influence field sellers, partner leaders, and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to turn partner priorities into revenue-producing action plans.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership, with the ability to drive sales, delivery, and technical teams toward unified outcomes.
