Overview:
We are seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to lead omni-channel retail strategy and execution for major beauty retailers. This role will translate brand campaigns into tailored 360° activation plans that drive awareness, conversion, and sustained growth. You will act as the voice of the brand to the retailer and vice versa, building strong relationships with retail partners while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver impactful in-store, digital, CRM, sampling, and event programs. Responsibilities include overseeing visual merchandising, retailer toolkits, and launch readiness, ensuring cohesive and compelling execution across all touchpoints. A strong analytical mindset is essential for evaluating performance, competitive activity, and category trends to uncover opportunities and provide insight-driven recommendations. You will also manage timelines, budgets, and workflows to ensure operational excellence and seamless cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Omni-Channel Strategy & Activation
- Translate brand campaigns into retailer-specific activation plans across multiple channels (in-store, online, app, CRM, sampling, social extensions, events).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailer teams; participate in joint business planning to develop strategies that drive mutual growth.
- Partner with account management and marketing teams to support launches and core business initiatives that increase awareness and conversion.
- Lead visual merchandising briefs and execution for gondola updates, planograms, in-store storytelling, eventing, and print collateral.
- Own retailer toolkits, ensuring timely delivery of copy, artwork, images, and assets.
- Collaborate with creative, sales, education, e-retail, and supply chain teams to ensure commercial readiness for every launch.
- Analyze retailer performance including top doors, SKU productivity, promo results, and event performance.
- Track competitive activity and category trends to identify opportunities and white space.
- Build post-program recaps and ROI analyses, sharing key takeaways and recommendations.
- Support forecasting with insights on launch pacing, lifecycle performance, and sampling conversion.
- Participate in business reviews and joint planning sessions with retailer partners.
- Maintain internal calendars, trackers, timelines, and weekly updates for team alignment.
- Provide retailer-specific insights during innovation development.
- Serve as liaison between sales, creative, VM, education, influencer/PR, paid/social, and field teams for integrated execution.
- Manage in-store and event budgets; ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee sampling deployment, promo kits, trial-driving initiatives, and retailer-exclusive programs.
- Maintain high standards for operational excellence, accuracy, and follow-through.
Must-Haves:
- 3–5+ years of experience in trade marketing, retail marketing, or omni-channel marketing within beauty or similar consumer category.
- Experience with major beauty retailers (Sephora experience required); brand-side experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital merchandising, CRM, loyalty programs, and e-commerce best practices.
- Analytical skills with ability to interpret sell-through data, category trends, and ROI metrics.
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong deck-building and storytelling ability.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Experience in prestige or masstige beauty/haircare.
